ITS BACK
The iconic Asym Fish designed by James Nicol is back and better than ever! Get ready to surf the snow on a piece of art.
FISH OUT OF WATER
A board like no other, the Asym Fish is a work of art inspired by the mountains and crafted with passion to surf through powder like you’re riding killer ocean waves. The essence of the Asym Fish is pure SnoPlanks legacy, holding true in every aspect to the award-winning design originally shaped by James Nicol. The unique flat-to-early rise camber profile, the seated back stance, and the shark-like tail remain the essence of this extraordinary pow slayer. With this reissue, the Asym Fish will continue to define the ultimate SnoPlanks ride, whether floating above deep powder, plowing through heavy chunder, or carving effortlessly on freshly groomed corduroy.
What is new about the 2024-25 Asym Fish is the beautiful top sheet graphic. This board is equipped to look good on the mountain and your wall. Turning to the surrounding cascade range as inspiration, artists Annie Sibul and Keeler Frangooles worked together to bring you something that really pops. With its hand-drawn mountain–comprised of a multitude of vibrant colors–attached to a board that functions as a work of art on its own, you’re sure to get compliments on and off the lift.
The Asym Fish is crafted here in the USA by Never Summer Industries, combining high-end construction with unmatched style. The Asym Fish is constructed with the finest materials, and built to the highest quality standards in the industry to ensure the board meets and exceeds the expectations of our loyal customers. The all-wood core utilizes a precise combination of bamboo, poplar, paulownia, and birch to deliver an exhilarating, responsive ride. The core is sandwiched between durable fiberglass, a low friction base wrapped by precision-bent stainless steel routed edges, and finished with a gorgeous nylon top sheet that showcases the artistic talents of the SnoPlanks creative team.
Whether you’re carving long toe-side turns or slashing through deep powder, this powderhound is ready to turn any mountain into your personal wave.
MEET THE ARTISTS
Designed locally in Bend Oregon, the Fish has always been a work of art, and now with the talents of Annie Sibul and Keeler Frangooles it looks the best it ever has. The original hand-drawn top sheet done by Annie was inspired by her lifelong love for vivid, colorful mountain scenes. Inspired by the array of colors and beautiful layers of geologic past in the volcanoes of the Cascade Range, she created the beautiful encapsulation that now covers the Asym Fish. Her design is made to inspire every eye that sees it to get outside and explore their own backyard. Annie and Keeler poured their creativity and love for adventure into every line of the design, bringing to life a board that’s built by riders, for riders.
